Pinus heldreichii 'Smidtii' A variety of the Bosnian pine with a dense, globose shape and a slow growth rate. Foliage is light green, rigid with 2 needles per fascicle. At the age of 10 plant reaches approx. 0.5m in diameter. Over many years it can grow up to 1m diameter. Prefers position in a full sun, grows well on a low fertilized soil and tolerates drought. Recommended for small and medium backyards, rockeries, cultivation in containers. Looks interesting grafted on the trunk.
