Acer palmatum 'Orangeola' A variety of palm maple with moderate growth and bushy habit. After 10 years, it grows to approx. 1 m in height and approx. 1.2 m in width. It blooms in May. The main decoration, however, are multi-colored, deeply cut leaves: red-orange in spring, they become less bright in summer, shades of green appear, to turn scarlet-red in autumn. It prefers fertile, well-drained, moist soils, and sunny or semi-shaded, sheltered positions. Young specimens require winter cover. Recommended for Japanese home gardens, in exposed positions, or as an element of colorful compositions on moors.
