Large, oval and dark green leaves. Large, spherical flowers, about 20 cm in diameter. Interestingly colored petals: intense cherry in the bud, then red-purple outside, contrasting with the white inside. It blooms profusely in spring along with the development of leaves. Reaches about 3-4 m in height after 10 years. It prefers sunny, sheltered positions and humus, moist, well-drained and fertile soil with a slightly acidic reaction. In winter, the root system should be protected by covering. It is perfect for planting in parks and home gardens due to its decorative feature.
