White spruce 'Dendrofarma Gold' ᴾᴮᴿ Polish cultivar selected by Michal Kaluzinski in 2000, from the cultivar Alberta Globe. According to the decision of Research Center for Cultivar Testing (COBORU) from 2005.02.21 cultivar admitted to the Polish National List (NLI) with number O 2076. It was awarded with Bronze Medal on International Exhibition of Plants and Gardens “Greenery is a life”. A slow-growing dense rounded compact dwarf, eventually reaching 0.5 m in diameter in 15 years, flushes golden yellow new growth in the spring. Needles tiny and soft, slowly turning into light green. Should be grown in full sun in moderately moist, acidic and rich soils. Frost-resistant in Poland. Looks great grafted to achieve greater height. Recommended for small gardens, rock gardens, and small borders. A good choice for container culture.
