Juniperus horizontalis 'Blue Chip' ('Blue Moon') A moderately growing selection of the Creeping juniper with a low, spreading, prostrate form. The characteristic feature is silvery-blue coloration of the tiny needles. During the winter coloration turns to purple. At the age of 10 it reach approx. 0.2m in height and 1.5m in diameter. Over many years it can reach 0.3m in height and 2m in diameter. Grows well on every kind of soli. Prefers a position in a full sun. Recommended for rockeries, backyards, moorlands and as a ground covering plant. Advised density of planting is 2 per square meter.
